anyone ever try to strip the chrome off a set of aluminum wheels? How did you go about it? My buddy bought a set of 22's and the chrome is peeling and he's wanting me to paint then for him, but I want to strip the chrome off first.... Any suggestions? |

Not worth the hassel....tell him to try and get his money back out of them by selling them and find a different set. Its a pain in the ass i had a set that was peeling and pitted bad. I was going to sandblast but it would have taken forever and if you sandblast them to long in one area the sand will eat away at the aluminum once you get the chrome off. |
