so far this evo is pretty fuckin bad ass.

the speed is incredible. no lag at all ever.

I got the EVO Friday morning...first in line for that bitch...lol. its fuckin sick phone, stoopid fast for sure. I go through phones quite a bit and this is the sickest one I've had. Also yeah, don't pay for the apps, you can always get then free. Played with it quite a bit this weekend, gonna root it soon I think, haven't hacked it too much yet though, just a little...Haha.

wouldnt suggest rooting it for a month or two. leaked info said they cant be put back for warranty.

I got that part taken care of, warranty doesn't effect me at all...lol. however they released an update right after the phone came out for a memory card issue, and it also killed the ability to use the root already discovered, so I'm waiting on another stable one. Even in stock form though bass phone for sure.

Advanced Task Killer is a must. Also Sprint sms program sucks, disable it and install Handcent SMS, its not in the market anymore, but if you know what your doin you can still get it. Astro file manager too.

ya. the handcent is the best love it. for ya the is a package tracker to track out going and in come packages and it will scan bar codes too.called mobile package tracker. i love it

ive got the moto droid from verizon its SSIICCCKKK the EVO is running the htc old software id never own one and the incredible is the same way it lags so bad its not even funny!!!! htc is just throwing phones out of their ass and its gross they're making cheap phones with the same software and processor not really upgrading anything at all they will never make an progress

i play imobsters, Google sky map (really cool app) Newtons Cradle, Talking parrot(it u want to annoy people) The weather channel, toddler lock (if u let kids play with ur phone), Mabilo Ringtones(free ringtones)

lol i have the toddler lock too,
i run Open Home, makes the setup much nicer, dont need any widgets on the home screen, but it does have 7 home screens
Pandora is a must have
i use Act 1 video player
Droid light uses your camera LEDs for the flashlight
Goggles is a google search app that read logos, patterns and such
Handcent SMS for txting
Hoccer for file sharing between droid phones
Ringdroid for making new ring/notification tones
Solitaire for when im killing time in Kris' parking lot... Razz

trapster for locating speed traps/roadblocks DUI checkpoints
Shazam for finding names/artists of songs that're playing on the radio or something
Weather channel (for weather)
Wheres my Droid? for finding the phone when its lost (havnt used it yet)

the evo has zero lag. it incredibly fast. even with like 20 things running i havent seen it lag yet.

meh to new phones.. show me one that can withstand being run over by a omni source roll off truck LOADED WITH STEEL! be droped in lake erie fishing! thrown in a toilet and bath tub by a 13month old shit monkey (my nephew) droped countless times.. droped in a mop bucket when i was working for kbs and thrown at the back of my ex's head when i cought him cheating..... AND STILL WORKS! NO BLOWN SCREEN ....LOL

kinda hard when your opening the door to your house and the first thing you see is him bangin some braud on your couch. i was going to launch a 5lb glass bowl that i had made that was on the end table near the door.. but the phone was still in my hand... and well growing up with guys ... being in sports... i got aim...lol guess the only girly dna i have is i toss shit when im pissed...lol everyeone around me ducks when im mad lol
